Japan is a dream country for me, and also for other people in this world. Knowing JDS is an excellent opportunity to study at Nagasaki University in Japan for me. It not only provided a scholarship, but it also provided me with warm support. All the coordinators of JDS are kind and very welcome to help JDS students when they need help.
During studying at Nagasaki University, I have learned so much from colleagues from other countries as we have opportunities to share knowledge and experiences through discussion during the lectures. Most importantly, I am deeply impressed with the professionalism and support of all academic professors who sincerely shared their knowledge and experiences through the courses. Moreover, I have an opportunity to take a special course in tropical medicine. This course is for medical doctors who are interested in tropical medicine. Laos is a tropical country with many tropical disease problems. Therefore, I took this course for 3 months and achieved a professional Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (DTM&H). Fortunately, for 2 years I obtained 2 diplomas from Nagasaki University.
Besides studying, I learned many new things, such as preparing for disasters, cultures, daily living, etc. And I have the chance to travel to many prefectures in Japan, which means I can explore many traditional foods and many popular places from north to south. I made many new friends from other countries. We exchanged our national foods and culture with each other. We keep in touch even after we graduated.
I would like to share this experience with my colleagues and encourage them to apply for a JDS scholarship. because I believe this program can improve your knowledge and skills in your field. And you can utilize your knowledge, skills, and experience that you gained through study in Japan to adapt to the development of our country when returning home. Please become a JDS family member.
